Appetizing juicy cutlets in waffle cakes I call lazy whites, because the recipe is far from classical. If there is little time for cooking, but you want to pamper your family with a hearty and tasty dish - this is a great option.
For minced meat, I use chicken or fish fillet, turkey or beef, since pork requires a longer heat treatment.
- Cooking time: 30 minutes.

For cooking you will need:
- wafer cake cakes - 2 pcs.;
 - eggs - 2 pcs.;
 - minced meat - 300 g;
 - onions - 1 pc.;
 - soy sauce - 15 ml;
 - flour for breading - 80 g;
 - salt, black pepper - according to preference;
 - vegetable oil - for frying.
 
On a note. You can experiment with the filling by adding cheese, herbs or chopped garlic.
Step by step recipe:
- Grate the onion on a coarse grater.
 - Thoroughly mix it with minced meat, salt, pepper and soy sauce.
 - Put the wafer cake on a flat surface, spread the meat filling on top with a layer of 1.5-2 cm.
 - Cover the minced meat with a second crust, slightly squeeze with your palms over the entire area.
 - Leave for 10 minutes to soak. If you hurry, the cakes will remain dry and will crumble when sliced.
 - During this time, prepare the batter, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt.
 - Divide the soaked circle into 8 equal parts.
 - Roll open the ends of the blanks in flour, then dip each cutlet in batter.
 - Put in a hot pan with vegetable oil and fry over medium heat for 4 minutes on both sides.
 - Serve hot or cold.
 
On a note. Cooking will take less time if you use small workpieces. In this case, you don’t have to wait until the cakes are saturated and softened - it is enough to evenly distribute the minced meat on one basis, cover the second and immediately lower it into the batter. The ends of the cutlets can be pre-breaded in flour or already fasten the edges in a pan, slightly pressing down with a fork.
A tasty and budget dish is suitable for a family dinner and meeting guests. It can be served with a vegetable side dish or as a separate snack.
