Hello! Today I will share 2 recipes for meatballs with vegetables. In the first case, I will make a dish with the addition of cabbage to the minced meat, stewed in a thick tomato sauce, and in the second I will cook it with potatoes and aromatic frying. Try both options, it is really delicious!

Chicken Meatballs with Cabbage
- Cooking time: 50 minutes.

Ingredients:
- chicken meat - 700 g;
 - egg - 1 pc.;
 - cabbage - 350 g;
 - onion - 2 heads;
 - garlic - 1-2 cloves;
 - carrots - 2 pcs.;
 - tomato paste - 100 g;
 - sour cream - 4 tbsp. l .;
 - water - 500 ml;
 - flour - 3 tbsp. l .;
 - sugar - 1 tsp;
 - dill - several branches;
 - salt, spices, bay leaf - to taste;
 - vegetable oil - for frying.
 
Tip. To give the dish a spicy touch put cinnamon in it - literally a pinch of minced meat and gravy.
Step-by-step recipe for meatballs with vegetables:
- Scroll the meat with garlic in a meat grinder, finely chop the cabbage and dill.
 - Combine the prepared foods, add the egg, salt and seasonings.
 - Stir the minced meat and make small balls from it, about 5-6 cm in diameter.
 - Stir in a frying pan in vegetable oil chopped onion cubes for 4-5 minutes. Make the fire medium.
 - Add the grated carrots and fry the same amount.
 - Introduce the tomato paste, sour cream, sugar and a little salt to the vegetables. Stir, pour water with flour diluted in it, put a lavrushka.
 - Bring the sauce to a boil, then put the meat balls in it, reduce the heat to a minimum and simmer for 35 minutes under the lid. Then remove the bay leaf and serve.
 
On a note. You can make such a dish in the oven. Only meatballs will need to be fried a little beforehand (3-4 min.on each side), and then put in a deep form of a suitable size, pour sauce and bake for 45-50 minutes. at 180 degrees.
Vegetable meatball stew
- Cooking time: 1 hour.
 - Servings Per Container: 6-7.
 

Meat dishes, even stewed in thick gravy, are usually served with a side dish. But preparation of mashed potatoes, salad or porridge takes time, but it is not always enough. I propose to make a stew with meatballs and vegetables - this will save you from additional trouble in the kitchen.
Ingredients:
- minced pork and beef - 500 g;
 - egg - 1 pc.;
 - onion - 2 heads;
 - potatoes - 7-9 tubers;
 - carrots - 2 pcs.;
 - bell pepper - 1 fruit;
 - tomatoes - 3-4 pcs.;
 - greens - 1 bunch;
 - curry - a pinch;
 - water or vegetable broth - 1-2 glasses;
 - salt, spices - to taste;
 - vegetable oil - for frying.
 
Important! To prepare this dish, you need a pan with thick walls and a bottom - like a cauldron or ducklings. Otherwise, the stew will burn from below.
Operating procedure:
- Mix the minced meat with the egg, chopped onion, salt, spices, and add a pinch of curry.
 - Form small balls from the resulting mass, fry over medium heat in vegetable oil for 5-7 minutes. from each side.
 - While the meatballs are browning, peel the potatoes, cut into large pieces, put in a pan, pour about three quarters of the water or broth. Salt and put on a slow fire.
 - Now add to the meat balls the remaining onion chopped into cubes, pepper chopped in half rings and grated carrots, sauté for 2-3 minutes.
 - Then enter chopped or finely chopped tomatoes in a blender.
 - Stew meatballs with vegetables for about 5 minutes, and then transfer the mass to the potatoes.
 - Simmer over low heat for another 20-25 minutes. The dish can be removed from the heat when the potatoes are soft. 5 minutes before cooking, add chopped greens to the stew.
